| Most of descent was with very little visibility & on a very insidious glacier: light but wet & heavy snow over erratically spaced crevasses. |

| After a 4am start to have the safest ice, we've just descended the glacier over the icefall and crevassed slopes. Now driving back to Reyk! |

| Just got back to the base tent at the head of the Solheimjokull. It survived, as did the snow wall. A nice return icecap crossing. |

| This morning we have a little wind and mostly whiteout, but all is well. Not a massive distance to do & the surface shouldn't be too risky. |

| It's got quite a bit stronger and since we're still in the crevassed icefall, have decided to ride out the storm instead of risking it. |
